TASMANIA – In an agreement between MS Society SA/NT (trading as Multiple Solutions) and the Department of Social Services’ provider atWork Australia, our Multiple Solutions Disability Employment Service in Launceston and Campbell Town will now be transferred to the atWork Australia brand.
The MS Society SA/NT took its employment services business unit to Launceston in 2013 as part of an association with Multiple Sclerosis Tasmania. This decision to transfer the business to atWork Australia, was made by putting the perspective of our participants first. Our legacy Launceston business, staff, and participants will now be locally supported by atWork Australia, and further integrated into Tasmania’s disability employment sector.
MS Society SA/NT Chief Executive Officer, Andrew Ellis said, “I would like to thank the Launceston team Joanne Shires, Stanley Hammond, and Katie Pugh for their contribution to Multiple Solutions and the MS Society SA/NT over the past five years. Their dedication to helping people with injury, illness and disability to find meaningful employment has been a great asset to Multiple Solutions and the organisation as a whole.”
The transfer agreement took effect on 24 July 2018 and services will be delivered in the same location by the same staff with no disruption to clients. In the coming weeks, the Launceston and Campbell Town offices will be branded as atWork Australia.
General Manager of atWork Australia, Michael Kolomyjec said, “We are also delighted to welcome three talented Multiple Solutions staff to the atWork Australia team. People with disability, mental health conditions, illness and injury will be dealing with the same passionate team in the same locations, and our goal remains the same – getting the right people into the right jobs with the right employers.”
